Mikiko Sodeoka is Director of the RIKEN Center for Sustainable Resource Science.
She is an internationally recognized pioneer in chemical biology, an interdisciplinary field that bridges synthetic organic chemistry and biology.
Sodeoka received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Chiba University in Japan and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University.
