N. Katherine Hayles

She joined Duke's Program in Literature, where she directs graduate studies. Recipient of National Endowment for the Humanities, Rockefeller, and Guggenheim fellowships, she is the author of six pioneering monographs (and two co-authored studies) in the field of literature, technology, and the post human condition, including dozens of articles on American literature and science fiction. She is the winner of the Rene Wellek prize, the Suzanne Langer Award, and, since 2012, two Lifetime Achievement Awards.
