Emmet Blakeney Gleason Professor of History of Art and Architecture. Known for magnum opus, The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright (1996). Has most recently published Modern Architecture: Representation and Reality (2010), a study covering the period 1700-1975. One of the leading forces in combating the split between art history and architectural history as disciplines, contending that no one can excel in each of these fields without proficiency in the other.
