Olga Boudker is a Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Weill Cornell Medical School. Boudker's research centers on proteins called membrane transporters and how their structural dynamics impact cellular function. Her identification of an elevator mechanism within neuron-based glutamate transporters proved especially impactful, as the same feature has since been identified in numerous other transporter types.
Boudker is a member of the National Academy of Science and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator.
She received an M.S. from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University.
