Oscar A. Zanetti Lecuona

Historian of New World history, he is a researcher and a prolific scholar. The corpus of his scholarship, including monographs, edited collections, and articles, represents a career of research and writing spanning more three decades of scholarly productivity. His research has focused on economic history, and specifically the history of sugar production in the circum-Caribbean region. His scholarship has been sustained at an impressive level and indeed has contributed in many important ways to shaping the field of Caribbean historiography in decisive ways.
