A member of the Academy staff since 1991, Phyllis Bendell is Editor in Chief, In this role, she manages and oversees the Academy’s publications department and edits Dædalus, the Bulletin magazine, and research papers, reports, project publications, and other materials produced by the Academy.
Prior to joining the Academy, she was a science instructor in the Cambridge, Massachusetts, public schools. She earned a BA in biology from Brandeis University and an Ed.M. from Harvard University.
