Professor of Physics. Specializing in the physics of neutrinos.  Made contributions to direct measurements of neutrino mass and to the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory that led to a demonstration that the origin of the solar neutrino problem is neutrino oscillations, evidence that neutrino mass is not zero.  Presently collaborating in the KATRIN and Project 8 experiments for direct measurement of neutrino mass.
