Robert Berj Gagosian

As President Emeritus of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and President Emeritus of the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, Robert Berj Gagosian continue to be most interested in science policy, ocean science being his major focus. Educating graduate students and faculty about the science policy process and the current state of affairs in Washington is part of the discussion. He is also engaged in helping not-for-profit research institutions and universities in strategic planning exercises and leadership mentoring as a member of the board of trustees, advisory committee or participating on review panels for these institutions. Another one of his interests as an oceanographer is following the advances in our understanding of the processes responsible for sea level rise and speaking to the public about this complex issue.
