Roderick P. Hart

Roderick P. Hart is the Allan Shivers Centennial Chair in Communication and Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also the Founding Director of the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life. He is the author of, most recently, Trump and Us: What He Says and Why People Listen (2020), Civic Hope: How Ordinary Americans Keep Democracy Alive (2018), and Modern Rhetorical Criticism (4th ed., with Suzanne Daughton and Rebecca LaVally, 2017).
