Rosa Matzkin has devised fundamental methods to understand micro empirical relationships. She has developed new tools that enable economists to capture the heterogeneity and diversity among people in ways that avoid arbitrary assumptions about how data are generated. She has derived fundamental conditions for the identification of simultaneous equations model with nonseparable shocks. She developed a main approach to estimation of panel data models with nonseparable shocks. She derived empirical implications of general equilibrium. She has made highly original contributions to the robust study of both discrete and continuous choices of economic agents.
