Scott S. Cowen

President. Since 1998, President of Tulane, formerly the Albert J. Weatherhead Professor of Management (1975-1998) and Dean of Weatherhead School of Management (1984-1998) at Case Western Reserve University. Recognized for successful effort to restore Tulane to full operation after Hurricane Katrina while continuing to address its current and future operations. Author of four books and more than 100 academic and professional articles, essays, and reviews, as well as the recipient of several national honors, including a 2009 Carnegie Corporation Academic Leadership Award. Areas of expertise include strategic financial management systems, corporate governance and leadership. Recently undertook the reformation of public education in Louisiana. Leadership experience in business as a corporate director and consultant.
