Director of the Lee foundation, a charitable foundation which supports educational, medical, scientific & cultural projects. Recipient of the Distinguished Service Award of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. An Honorary Fellow of the British Academy, London. Honorary fellowships at Oriel College, Oxford, & Wolfson College & the Needham Research Institute at Cambridge University, & the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
