Research concerns

  • the ecological and evolutionary consequences of multispecies interactions,
  • the dynamics of eco-evolutionary feedbacks in shaping ecological communities and species traits,
  • the role of phylogenetic history in the assembly of communities.
  • Elucidated ecological and evolutionary responses of plant communities to invasive species,
  • has demonstrated how eco-evolutionary feedbacks can maintain both genetic and species diversity in plant communities.
  • Demonstrated impacts of phylogenetic relatedness on species interactions, notably that closely related species occupy more similar ecological niches and that exotic species less phylogenetically related to natives are often more invasive.
  • Showed how pollinators and herbivores interact to exert direct and indirect effects on plant fitness and the evolution of plant life-history traits, including resistance and tolerance.
