Tetsuo Hatsuda serves as Executive Director of Science at RIKEN and is the founder of the RIKEN Center for Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences (iTHEMS), an international research initiative dedicated to fostering close collaboration among scientists across diverse fields, including theoretical, mathematical, and computational sciences. He is also Professor Emeritus in the Department of Physics at the University of Tokyo.
