Dr. William Baker is an author, filmmaker, professor, and long-time media executive. He is a seven-time Emmy Award-winning producer, twenty-year president of the PBS flagship station, WNET in New York, and previously president of Westinghouse Television for a decade. He launched many cable networks and helped start Oprah’s talk show career. Baker has written five books and produced two theatrical movies. He’s believed to be the eighth person to stand on the North and South Poles.
