Yamiche L. Alcindor

Yamiche Alcindor is a White House correspondent for NBC News where she covers the Trump administration, the impact of federal policies on communities across the country, and issues at the intersection of race, culture and politics.

Previously, she was the anchor of Washington Week on PBS as well as the White House correspondent for PBS NewsHour, where she covered the administrations of President Joe Biden and the first Trump administration. Alcindor also worked as a national political reporter for The New York Times and a national breaking news reporter for USA Today.

She received a B.A. in English, International Relations, and African American Studies, from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Broadcast News and Documentary Filmmaking from New York University.
