This program on Ethical Issues in the Arts and Sciences featured Viet Thanh Nguyen (University of Southern California), Pulitzer-prize-winning author of The Sympathizer; Frances Arnold (California Institute of Technology), Nobel-prize-winning pioneer of "directed evolution" to create useful biological systems; and Peter Sellars (University of California, Los Angeles), a director known for his innovative, contemporary stagings of classical and contemporary operas and plays. Kent Kresa (former Chairman of General Motors and former Chair and CEO of Northrop Grumman Corporation) served as moderator.
