An Evening at the Missouri History Museum: Connecting History Exhibits to Our Community

The St. Louis Local Program Committee invited Academy members and guests to join them for a special evening at the Missouri History Museum. Dr. Frances Levine--President and CEO of the Missouri Historical Society--led guests on a tour of Flores Mexicanas: A Lindberg Love Story followed by a talk on how the museum connects history exhibits to the St. Louis community. The conversation covered a range of topics including recent curatorial decisions that ensure community members feel represented, how to successfully broaden an exhibit's audience, and the museum's philosophy behind offering free admission.
