Dan Lothian
Dan Lothian is the Editor inChief and General Manager of Local News at GBH. He also lectures on journal ism and visual storytelling at Northeastern University in Boston. Prior to joining GBH, Lothian was a White House Correspondent at CNN, where he also covered political campaigns and breaking news during his more than decadelong run at the network. Lothian was a key member of CNN’s Peabody Award–winning “best political team on television.” He covered the 2004, 2008, and 2012 presidential races, traveling with more than a half dozen candidates. His awardwinning career has taken him to more than 50 countries including Israel, Myanmar, and Colombia. Lothian started in radio as a teenager, worked in local TV stations across the country, then launched onto the national stage as a correspondent with NBC News, the Today Show, and MSNBC. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Temple University and a master’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C.
