Hoffman played an important role in building several of today's leading consumer technology businesses, including LinkedIn and PayPal. He is a partner at Greylock Partners, a prominent venture capital and focuses on enterprise software, consumer Internet, Enterprise 2.0, mobile, social gaming, online marketplaces, payments, and social networks. As an investor, he has invested in the first rounds of Airbnb, Facebook, Zynga and many others. He was on the founding team of PayPal and served as the executive vice president and board member in 2000-2002. In 2002-03 Hoffman co-founded LinkedIn, the world's largest professional networking service, and led it through its first four years and to profitability as Chief Executive Officer. He served as the Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship.
