Dr. Sanjay Gupta is a practicing neurosurgeon and the multiple Emmy®-award winning chief medical correspondent for CNN. He currently serves as a member of the National Academy of Medicine and Diplomate of the American Board of Neurosurgery. He served in the Clinton White House on domestic issues, including health care policy, and has been recognized by his medical peers with the National Association of Medical Communicators Award, as well as mutiple Peabody Awards and the DuPont, considered the Pulitzer of broadcast journalism. Gupta is an associate professor of neurosurgery at Emory University Hospital and associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Gupta received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan Medical School.
