Efforts are underway to regulate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in mental healthcare on both the federal and state levels. Building on the Academy’s and the APA’s recent reports on AI in mental healthcare, this panel brings together experts in the current policy/regulatory landscape to discuss current and proposed policies, where they see the need for more (or less) regulation, and why.
